DAY 1

Day 1: Arrive Costa Rica


Upon arrival in San Jose, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel Parque de Lago Vivo in San Jose. Your driver will give you the hotel & tour vouchers and answer any of your questions. Overnight Hotel Parque de Lago or similar

DAY 2

Day 2: White Water Rafting Pacuare River


After an early morning pickup from your hotel, you will drive by private, comfortable bus to Rios Tropicales Operations Center for a delicious, typical breakfast. After breakfast and changing into rafting gear, we will drive to our private rafting put-in on the banks of the Pacuare River. Here we review and adjust all necessary equipment for proper fit, give you a comprehensive rafting safety talk, and instruct you on paddling basics. You'll be excited to launch your raft and begin to paddle 14 miles deep into the heart of one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rainforests. You'll pass through densely vegetated rainforest gorges, view cascading waterfalls, relax in serene pools and experience pounding rapids. Then the biggest rapids, with names like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montañas and more. At the take-out, our short drive back to Rios Tropicales Operations Center brings you to a hearty and delicious lunch, showers, optional drinks and a handy souvenir store. On your return drive to San Jose, you'll enjoy remarkable views of Braulio Carrillo National Park, home of dense, primary tropical rainforest, and Irazu Volcano. DAY 3

Day 3: Osa Peninsula / Canopy Adventure


Early morning transfer to domestic airport… fly to Drake Bay, then transfer to Jinetes de Osa Lodge. See Costa Rica as you have imagined, wild, beautiful and unexplored. Upon arrival at Jinetes de Osa Lodge, you can immediately enjoy secluded beaches, deserted waterfalls and a walk among one of the largest nesting populations of Scarlet Macaws in Costa Rica. Afternoon's activity is a canopy (ZIPLINE) . Now, you may view nature from the highest level of the rain forest and discover its rich diversity of wildlife. Our canopy tour location features 9 platforms,6 traverse cables, with one spanning over 300 feet (100 meters), and a 65 foot (21 meter) high observation bridge at the edge of a picturesque river bend. DAY 4

Day 4: Caño Island/ Snorkeling (diving extra for certified divers)


Cano Island is Costa Rica's premier snorkeling location. Our snorkeling trip begins after breakfast at the Jinetes de Osa when we board our boat for the 45 minute water crossing to Cano Island. Along the way, it is likely that we will encounter playful spotted, spinner, or bottlenose dolphins swimming along side or in front of the boat. Overnight Jinetes de Osa Lodge (BLD) Please note: certified divers can do 2 optional dives this day. Not included in rates. Upon arrival your guide will lead you to the clear water and the best spots for sighting marine life. The water surrounding the island is teeming with activity as numerous species of fish including the king angel, moorish idol, puffers, surgeonfish, snapper, barracuda, barberfish, parrotfish, damsels and a variety of eels can be found hiding around the coral lined rock formations. Turtles, rays, and the non aggressive reef shark can also be spotted. After a delicious picnic lunch, you will have the option of returning to the water or joining in a guided walking tour of the island. Al meals included this day.

DAY 5

Day 5: Corcovado National Park / Hiking


Corcovado National Park, One of the few remaining virgin lowland tropical rain forests in the world, Corcovado National Park stands as a testament to the Costa Rican Government's commitment to protecting its majestic environment. The tropical wet forests contained within its boundaries are widely considered to be the most species-rich in Central America. More than 500 species of trees, 367 species of birds, 140 of mammals, 117 of reptiles/amphibians and 40 species of freshwater fish make Corcovado their home. Because of such diversity, National Geographic Magazine has crowned Corcovado National Park as one of "the most biologically intense places on Earth". Several hundred miles of foot trails criss-cross the park making even some of its most remote corners of the park accessible to the adventurous soul. Here you can wake up to the calls of the howler monkey and if you get lucky you might even get a glimpse of a Jaguar, American Crocodile, Caiman or a Baird's Tapir which are critically endangered or absent in the rest of the country. Today we'll be doing a guided hike inside Corcovado National Park. There will be time to enjoy the beach at Corcovado before heading back by boat to Jinetes de Osa . All meals included this day. DAY 6

Day 6: Arenal Volcano area / Hot Springs


After breakfast, transfer to the Drake Bay airport for a domestic flight back to San Jose. Here your driver will be waiting to transfer you to the Arenal Volcano area After check in at Arenal Paraiso Lodge, there is time to relax and enjoy the hot springs on site at Arenal Paraiso Lodge. Breakfast and lunch is included this day. Overnight Arenal Paraiso Lodge in rooms facing Arenal Volcano.

DAY 7

Day 7: Fortuna Waterfall / Horseback Riding or Canyoning Adventure


Today you can select either horseback riding to Fortuna Waterfall. Or Canyoning

DAY 8

Day 8: Transfer to SJO International Airport…Depart Costa Rica
