Upon arrival in San Jose, your driver will transfer you to your hotel in the San Jose area and give you your hotel and tour vouchers and answer any of your questions regarding your trip and offer suggestions about the Costa Rican lifestyle and behavior.

Tortugero

Early morning land and boat transfer to Tortuguero, passing through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Arrive in Tortuguero in time for lunch. In the afternoon walk some of the trails in the area and visit Tortuguero Village or just relax by the pool. Tortuguero is the prominent nesting site in the western half of the Caribbean for the endangered green turtle. In season (July-August) you can take an optional night tour (not included) to see the nesting turtles. (B,L,D)

Tortuguero National Park by Boat

This day, explore the smaller canals of Tortuguero National Park in special boats designed for better visibility to get a close look at the jungle vegetation and wildlife. Entrance fee to Tortuguero National Park is not included and must be paid by the passenger at the park's entrance. (Approximately $10.00 per person). You will also visit a butterfly garden, an iguana farm and a ranarium. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included this day

La Fortuna / Arenal Volcano area

After an early breakfast, you will transfer by boat out of Turtugero. Then transfer to La Fortuna stopping along the way for lunch at the Rio Danta Restaurant. . Upon arrival explore your hotel and relax in one of the hot springs. Breakfast and lunch included this day. Overnight Arenal Paraiso or similar(2 Nights)

Manuel Antonio National Park

This morning is included a guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. Your afternoon is at leisure. Manuel Antonio is deservedly the most popular park in Costa Rica with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald waters and jungle. Your naturalist guides will explain the history and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your visit, pointing out sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of insects and birds during this very informative walk. Breakfast is included this day.

Depart Costa Rica
